Hand-picking fine 20th century furniture, art and accessories to fit the expanding and expansive tastes of Dallas and beyond.
The Lamy family has been part of the fabric of the Dallas Design District for over 25 Years, being one of the first art and gallery enterprises in the area. Founder Jacques Lamy emigrated from France to Dallas in 1986 and opened Jacques Lamy Designs in 1990, he single-handedly created the fresco and Italianate trend that dominated much of 1990's interior decor.
Over the years Jacques Lamy Designs became a one-stop shop for unique hand painted art, mural work, design, antiques and antique repair.
Passing on the torch to his son Lionel, Jacques Lamy Designs has now reopened its doors as "Dallas Moderne." Jacques and his son Lionel are both respected fine artists and bring a sense of creativity and experimentation to hand-picking fine furniture, art and accessories to fit the expanding and expansive tastes of Dallas and beyond.
