Briar specializes in gentlemen's fashions, collectibles, and oddities, dating from the 1800's through the 1960's. We take pride in our collection of one-of-a-kind pieces.
Briar Vintage is located at 62 North 3rd Street, in the historic Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia.
Briar specializes in gentlemen's fashions, collectibles, and oddities, dating from the 1800's through the 1960's. We take pride in our collection of one-of-a-kind pieces, currently ranging from: an 1880 morning jacket; a 1903 frock coat; 1947 baseball jersey; 1951 Korean War boots in amazing condition; 1953 wool letterman sweater; and a glorious Rat Pack-worthy red and black brocade 1960's smoking jacket.
Between the owner, Amanda, and the manager, David, every item is hand-picked; for era, quality and uniqueness. We travel the country searching for amazing inventory- not only clothing, but also interesting "object", such as: a stunning 1930s Native American blanket; World War II battleship stationary; an unopened 1950s Champ brand "Jack Dempsey" prophylactic; ephemera; and men's fashion-related antique advertising.
We have a weakness for natty neckties, bowties (tie-your-own and clip), and cufflinks (both snap-link and folding), and hats of all style and era; so there is never a lack of classic, and classy, men's accessories.
Our knowledgeable staff is well-studied in the sartorial arts and will make sure that you are both happy with your purchase, and looking your best before you walk out the door.
While we hope you have been able to get a feeling for the traditional service and quality we stand for at Briar Vintage, we invite you to stop by. Feel free to contact us prior to your visit to let us know your sizing and if there is anything specific you are hunting for. We devote personalized attention to each and every patron, and if we don't have the exact item for you- we will work to find it!
